Novosys is a modular milling tool system which is built up on the basis of the 'construction kit' principle. For each tool diameter, shanks of different lengths can be combined with 3 types of cutters.

The geometry of the cutters matches Multicut H, Multispeed and Spericut, the tools from Fraisa which have been specially developed for mould and die production.

The tools are fitted on to shanks made of a special alloy with the help of a Fraisa clamping system (patent applied for). All shanks are equipped with the Fraisa LTC hard coating to protect them against wear and damage. Mould and die manufacture is one of the main areas of application for Novosys.

This System is approved for RPM's up to 40,000. Recommended cutting data can be found on pages 16/17 of the Novosys booklet.

  • Costs are 25% to 50% lower than solid carbide
  • Precision, geometry and high number of cutting edges are identical with solid carbide.
  • Changing the cutting edges is quick and simple.
